We respect your privacy. Here's what we collect, why, and how we handle it. No fluff.
We follow the principle of data minimization: we collect only the minimum personal information necessary to provide the service. Specifically:
Cookies and tracking. We use essential cookies to keep the platform functioning (for example, session management and authentication). We may also use analytics tools to understand how the platform is used and to improve our services. Essential cookies do not require consent. You can manage or disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings.
We use your data to:
That's it.
Legal basis. We process your data on the following legal grounds:
Only trusted service providers we need to operate Jobnow:
These providers process data only as necessary to perform services on our behalf and are contractually required to protect and secure that information.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
These providers primarily process data in the United States. By using Jobnow, you acknowledge that your personal information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions outside of your province or country of residence, including from Quebec to other Canadian provinces and to the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
Before transferring personal information outside of Quebec, we have assessed that our service providers offer a level of protection that meets the requirements of applicable Quebec privacy legislation. Contractual safeguards are in place with each provider to ensure your data is protected in accordance with applicable law.
We may engage additional subprocessors as necessary to operate and improve the service. When we do, we ensure they meet the same data protection standards described above. We will update the list of providers in this policy accordingly.
Our role. Jobnow is the data controller for your account information (your name, email, business details). For client data that you input into Jobnow (client names, phone numbers, addresses, service details), Jobnow acts as a data processor on your behalf. You remain the data controller for your clients' personal information.
We process your clients' data solely at your direction to deliver estimates, invoices, and communications. We treat it with the same care as your own data, and we will never contact your clients independently or use their information for our own marketing.
Your responsibilities. As the data controller for your clients' information, you are solely responsible for ensuring that you have a lawful basis to collect and share your clients' personal information with Jobnow, including obtaining any required consent. Jobnow is not responsible for your privacy practices, data collection methods, or any failure to obtain appropriate consent from your clients.
Data processing terms. These Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy together constitute the data processing agreement between you and Jobnow with respect to the processing of your clients' personal information.
We take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your data, including:
No system is 100% secure, but we take the protection of your data seriously and continuously work to improve our safeguards.
In the event of a security breach involving personal information that poses a risk of serious harm, we will notify affected users and applicable regulatory authorities without unreasonable delay, in accordance with our obligations under Quebec's privacy legislation (including notification to the Commission d'accès à l'information), the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and any other applicable federal or provincial laws.
We maintain an incident response process to detect, assess, and respond to potential breaches. Where required by law, we will also maintain a register of confidentiality incidents.

Jobnow's messaging infrastructure is designed to support compliance with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), the U.S. Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), carrier guidelines, and applicable industry standards. You remain responsible for obtaining appropriate consent before sending messages.
